DEPRESSION
Hope for Depression
While everyone experiences sadness or grief during challenging times in their lives, those feelings tend to pass over time. But for many people, those feelings don’t pass.
Depression (sometimes called clinical depression) is more extreme – the feelings of sadness continue over longer periods of time and are consistent, affecting a person’s daily functioning, relationships, and activities.
Individuals experience depression differently, leading to a variety of treatment options, depending on the specific needs and challenges for each person. The causes of depression may be as numerous as the ways it appears, and often include a combination of brain chemistry, physiological changes, stress, life transitions, and more.
Our Approach to Help and Healing
The trained staff at Covenant Counseling offer individuals and their families experience in treating the spectrum of depression, helping not only to identify what may be causing the depression but also offering ways to engage and enjoy life again.
