Hope for Borderline Personality Disorder
One commonly encountered personality disorder is Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). A complex disorder, BPD broadly is marked by sensitivity to feelings of abandonment, or of not being accepted. Individuals with BPD often demonstrate impulsive and reckless behavior, and may have difficulty regulating thoughts and emotions. It significantly affects both the individual and his or her relationships. Other disorders (such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse or eating disorders) commonly occur simultaneously with BPD.
Our Approach to Help and Healing
Of course, not all individuals who experience any or all of the mentioned symptoms have BPD. Covenant Counseling can offer people with questions about BPD an opportunity to gain understanding about themselves or others in a safe and caring environment. Individuals with BPD will work towards developing more healthy responses to their own impulses and emotions, as well as to the behaviors and emotions of others.
